The new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have hit Singaporean shores via Singtel. More than 40,000 customers registered for interest for the new iPhones, and over 12,000 slots were fully subscribed. Some models (most likely Rose Gold) were snapped up in less than three minutes!
Some customers with confirmed appointments on today (Friday) arrived as early as 4.45am. True Apple fans demonstrate their devotion yet again. One such hardcore fan was Daryl Lee, the first in line to receive his new iPhone.
Starting this Saturday, 26 September, Singtel customers who have registered for interest can purchase the iPhone at any Singtel outlet on a first come first served basis, while stocks last.
Understandably with any iPhone launch, you can expect the new iPhones to fly off the shelves. Singtel has assured that it is working closely with Apple to bring in more stock.
At the launch event, Singtel is throwing in exclusive offers including 1GB local data at S$5.35 (RM16.47)/month for 24 months and S$100 (RM307) off iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus with Fibre Entertainment Bundle+ sign-up.
There’s also a new Mobile SwopUP! service that allows you to upgrade to a new phone every 12 months.
Singtel’s iPhone launch event runs from 25-27 September 2015 at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre Basement 2, Hall D.
On 10 September, Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus sporting improved hardware, uprated 12MP camera and 3D touch. The iPhones were made available for pre-order starting 12 September, with general availability from 25 September in 12 countries including Singapore.
The new iPhones come in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants, with a choice of Gold, Space Grey, White and Rose Gold colour options.
