Just over a week since its global unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 is hitting Malaysian retail channels soon. You can pre-order the revolutionary device now until 24 September (or while stocks last). Pre-orders are expected to be delivered or collected on 22 September 2020.
Pricing and availability
The Galaxy Z Fold2 retails for MYR7,999 and will be available in two colour options—Samsung’s current hero colour—Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Black.
You can pre-order the device from today until 24 September 2020 at selected Samsung Experience stores or the Samsugn e-store.
Pre-order customers will receive a complimentary Galaxy Buds Live (worth MYR699) and a Montblanc Card Holder worth MYR655.
The foldable extraordinaire also comes with Galaxy Z Concierge which is exclusive for Galaxy Z Fold2 owners. The service includes:

Key features and specs
To recap, Samsung has greatly improved the original Galaxy Fold design and build, including the new Hideaway Hinge with CAM mechanism and sweeper technology adopted from the Galaxy Z Flip. It now inherits Flex mode, first seen on the Galaxy Z Flip, able to stand on its own from 75 to 115 degrees.

Under the hood, the device packs the screaming fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (512GB in select markets).
The inbuilt battery has been uprated to 4,500mAh, which fast charges via USB-C, supporting fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Samsung has also deeply enhanced the Galaxy Z Fold2’s software to better take advantage of its unique form factor. One of its strengths is seamless transitioning from the Cover to the Main Screen, and vice versa.
The company has also worked closely with Microsoft and Google to offer seamless, optimised app interactions and multitasking for enhanced productivity.
In the optics department, the phone comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear consisting of a 12MP f/1.8 main shooter with OIS and Dual Pixel AF, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto with OIS. The camera system offers 2x optical zoom, up to 10x digital zoom, HDR10+ recording and tracking AF.
A 10MP f/2.2 selfie camera is housed on the Main Screen while an identical unit is integrated on the over.
Speaking of which, the front Cover screen is now bigger and notchless.
The 5G enabled device (NSA/SA/Sub6/mmWave) features a single nano-SIM slot complemented with eSIM.
