Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with S Pen: Notable multimedia powerhouse

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

There’s a new affordable tablet in town. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite squeezes a large display, sweet speakers and a redesigned S Pen into a compact body to give you a versatile tablet for work or play.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite packs a 10.4-inch TFT display (2000×1200) with narrow bezels, housed in a thin and compact body. Available in Oxford Gray and Angora Blue, it comes with a new refreshed S Pen that weighs just 7.03g. The new S Pen has improved latency and a 0.7mm pen tip to deliver greater precision for notetaking and drawing.

When not in use, the S Pen snaps magnetically onto the right side of the tablet, or to a keyboard cover (sold separately). The stylus is battery-free, so it’s free-of-charge (pun intended).

With the S Pen and Samsung Notes, handwritten notes are transformed into text instantly. You can categorise and search your notes with ease through tags, highlight important passages, and enlarge content within notes with the 300 per cent zoom feature. Easily export your notes as PDF, JPEG, text, or as a Microsoft Word document.

The new tablet is perfect as a content consumption device—dual speakers tuned by AKG and supporting Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound deliver outstanding immersive audio.

Furthermore, Samsung has partnered YouTube and Spotify to give you free YouTube Premium for four months. With YouTube Premium, you’ll enjoy ad-free YouTube videos as well as the ability to download and watch videos offline. Additionally, YouTube Music and YouTube Kids are free.

Spotify integrates with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite’s user interface, so you can easily search for music and podcasts, or set your favourite song as your alarm.

It is also easy to connect wirelessly to your home speaker, so you can listen to your favourite Spotify tunes on another device or speaker around your home, controlled by your Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

The tablet is great for the family and comes with Samsung Kids. Parents can set daily playtime allowances, restrict access to certain apps, while allowing for kids to explore the digital world safely.

Under the hood, the device runs an octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (supporting microSD expansion of up to 1TB).

Keeping it juiced is a 7,040mAh battery that charges via USB-C.

In terms of connectivity, the tablet features the usual suspects—Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0.

For video calls (and selfies) as well as the occasional photo or video or two, the device offers a single 5MP f/2.0 front-facing camera and an 8MP f/1.9 rear camera.
