Samsung says the GALAXY S III has been selling at a rate of 200,000 units per day. The impressive figures top its successful predecessor, the GALAXY S II by three times as fast. In comparison, the GALAXY S II took 9 months to sell as many units.

The GALAXY S III took just 50 days to hit 10 million in sales.

The brisk sales of the GALAXY S III and its range of smartphones has secured Samsung’s position as the No. 1 smartphone brand in the world.

It will be interesting to see how the GALAXY Note II fares against the GALAXY S III in unit sales in time to come.
