It looks like serial leakster Evan Blass Lazada Malaysia has done it again. The e-commerce giant has prematurely disclosed the Malaysian pricing for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note9. As widely believed, the Galaxy Note9 will come in 128GB and 512GB storage options.

Update: Lazada Malaysia would like to state that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has not been officially released in Malaysia, and its prices have yet to be announced. As such, the price may vary from the one shown on the website and app.

The Galaxy Note9 is slated for a 9 August 2018 launch in New York. Malaysia, being a key market for Samsung, will be in the first wave of countries to receive the device.

On the official Samsung Malaysia store on Lazada Malaysia, the base model Galaxy Note9 128GB is listed for MYR4,299. As a comparison, the Galaxy Note8 with 64GB of storage was launched at a MYR3,999 (with 6% GST) price point.

Meanwhile, for the first time, Samsung will be offering 512GB on its device. The Galaxy Note9 with 512GB of storage lists at MYR5,099. You may balk at the price, but to put things into perspective, the iPhone X 64GB launched at a price of MYR5,149 (with 6% GST) in Malaysia.

The listing looks legit, and whether this was a deliberate move or otherwise, it may differ when it finally hits Malaysia in the coming weeks.

Lazada is no stranger to “leaking” product pricing before they’re available. The most recent being the ASUS ZenFone 5z and Xiaomi Mi A2. Bad boy, Lazada.

Samsung’s stylus-totting flagship will feature a similar design to the current Galaxy Note8. It will be offered in Black, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple, although colour variants may differ depending on region/markets.

The device retains the 6.30-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display as well as the octa-core Exynos 9810 (or Snapdragon 845) and will come with up to 8GB of RAM.

Samsung already teasing about battery life and the Galaxy Note9 is rumoured to come with a larger 4,000mAh battery.

The productivity device will feature an all-new S Pen, in shocking yellow, and is rumoured to have Bluetooth connectivity built in.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant may also introduce its new wireless charger and Galaxy Watch.

The Galaxy Note9 will be unpacked on 9 August 2018.
