Here’s how much the ASUS ZenFone 5 will cost when it launches this week

ASUS ZenFone 5

ASUS is set to launch two devices this week – the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) and the flagship ZenFone 5 series. In a slip up, or perhaps not, Lazada has inadvertently revealed the official pricing of ASUS’ yet-to-be-launched device.

Revealed at MWC 2018, the ZenFone 5 series is ASUS’ take on the iPhone X, with a notched display, vertically-arranged dual-camera and all.

Until the top-rung ZenFone 5z reaches our shores, the standard ZenFone 5 is a unabashedly mid-range, albeit a premium built one.

It comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ Super IPS+ 19:9 ratio display (1080×2246) that stretches edge-to-edge and a narrow notch houses the front camera, speaker and ambient sensor.

It boasts an impressive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the 14nm Snapdragon 636 chipset, coupled with either 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It can be expanded further via microSD (up to 2TB).

Camera-wise, the ZenFone 5 impresses with a 12MP f/1.8 dual-camera system that comes with 4-axis OIS. The secondary camera offers a 120-degree wide-angle lens. Low light performance should be good, thanks to the large 1/2.55-inch sensor and 1.4 micron pixel size.

The selfie shooter is pretty average, topping 8MP with a f/2.0 aperture lens.

The phone impresses in the audio department – with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Dual Smart AMP and is Hi-Res Audio certified. It supports DTS Headphone X with 7.1 surround sound.

It comes with a 3,300mAh battery enhanced by Boost Master technology.
