5 big things about the Galaxy Note9

Samsung Galaxy Note9

The Galaxy Note9 is the best smartphone Samsung has ever made. And that’s a big understatement. The world’s number one smartphone maker has undone itself this time, delivering a smartphone that’s better than its predecessor in every way. Here are five big things about the Galaxy Note9.

The first thing you’ll notice about the sexy slab of glass and metal – the big, expansive display. The near-bezel-less, edge-to-edge 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED (2960×1440) Infinity Display, is the biggest Infinity Display ever.

But it’s not just big for big sakes. It’s the best display on a smartphone capable of delivering peak display brightness of 1050 nits, wide colour gamut (113% DCI-P3 and 142% sRGB) and superior contrast. In August, display experts DisplayMate says the Note9’s display is “visually indistinguishable from perfect.”

What good is great visuals without sound though. The Galaxy Note9 offers stereo speakers tuned by AKG for vivid sound and big soundstage. Dolby Atmos delivers immersive three-dimensional sound when you’re watching a movie or listening to your favourite music.

Next, the Galaxy Note9 now offers even more storage, up to 512GB of storage built-in. There’s expandable memory via microSD up to 512GB more, so you’ll have 1TB of space for all your high-res photos, 4K videos, games, apps and work files.

Samsung Galaxy Note9The Galaxy Note9 is also big in the camera stakes. The rear camera is a 12MP dual-lens system with variable aperture – f/1.5-f/2.4 so no matter what the lighting conditions, it will always deliver the best exposure.

Thanks to the Intelligent Camera backed by artificial intelligence, it’s almost impossible to take a bad shot. The camera recognises what you’re shooting, optimises camera settings and even prompts you to reshoot if it detects blinks or blurred shots.

Samsung Galaxy Note9The Galaxy Note9 is big on performance. The 10nm octa-core Exynos 9810 is a beast, delivering more power that you’ll ever need. In fact it’s 33 percent faster in compute tasks and 23 percent faster in graphics processing than the previous generation chipset. Whether it’s for gaming, creating or being productive, the Galaxy Note9 gets it done without breaking a sweat. With up to 8GB of RAM, multitasking is also a breeze.

The Galaxy Note9 is available in Midnight Black, Metallic Copper, Ocean Blue and Lavendar Purple. The 128GB model retails for MYR3,699 while the 512GB model goes for MYR4,599.
