Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016): Go big or go home

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro

Samsung has expanded its 2016 A-series with the new Galaxy A9 Pro (2016). The big-screen device joins the Galaxy A3, A5, A7 and A8 to complete the premium mid-range A family of devices.

Bigger is better

If you love binge-watching videos on the go, or reading in between your daily commutes, then a bigger display would make it all more enjoyable.

The Galaxy A9 Pro boasts a sharp, vibrant 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a narrow bezel to give you the best viewing experience.

Housed in metal and glass, the device measures just 7.9mm thin, and weighs a surprisingly scant 210g for its size.

Powering it is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with a massive 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The dual-SIM, 4G LTE device also supports microSD expansion of up to 256GB.

If photo-taking is your thing, then the 16MP f/1.9 main shooter should keep you happy, even in low light environments. For selfies, there’s an equally adept 8MP f/1.9 front camera that should also do well in low light situations.

Keeping it juiced all day is a whopping 5,000mAh battery that supports quick-charging. Get from 0-100% in just 160 minutes.
