Bezel-less, “FullView” displays are all the rage at the moment and what better example of the ultimate smartphone screen than Samsung’s Infinity Display? Found on the flagship Galaxy Note8, S8 and S8+, the gorgeous edge-to-edge display is pushing the industry forward, and this is trickling down to mid- and low-end devices as well. It looks like Samsung itself is bringing its cutting-edge tech to its premium mid-range A series.
Renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A series have been leaked online. It’s no surprise that the mid-range series is getting the bezel-less treatment.
First of all, you’ll see the Infinity Display which is definitely reminiscent of the Galaxy S8. The screen resolution isn’t confirmed but may most probably be 1080p at a 18.5:9 ratio.
Samsung looks to be sticking to a single shooter setup, unlike the recently-launched 2017 Galaxy J7+. What’s interesting is that the fingerprint sensor is finally where it belongs, below the camera. It looks a tad tiny, but I’ll reserve comment until this is confirmed.
On the side, there’s a regular set of buttons namely power and volume rocker. But also present is the Bixby button which as you all know is Samsung’s digital assistant.
These leaks are most likely meant for the A5 and A7 so chances are that the smallest A3 may lack a few features. So, what are your thoughts on the latest A series?
