Pre-order iPhone X in Malaysia starting next Friday, 17 November 2017

Apple iPhone X

As you may know, Apple’s most anticipated smartphone of the year, the iPhone X will be available starting 24 November 2017. Strangely, it has yet to announce pre-orders as it usually does. However, everyone’s favourite underdog telco U Mobile isn’t sitting around.

The orange telco has started teasing the iPhone X, which they say will be available for pre-order on u.com.my starting 17 November 2017.

U Mobile has not revealed any pricing details nor plans, but it is likely to be aggressively priced, based on their Postpaid i90 and i130 plans.

Back in 2015, U Mobile achieved a milestone by being the first telco out of the “Big Three” (Celcom, Digi and Maxis) to carry the iPhone 6. And it did it with epic fashion too. Being the young, up-and-comer, it offered the most insane plans for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

It also introduced U MicroCredit, the first-ever device financing program offered by a local telco. The cool thing about U Mobile’s iPhone plans is that it’s available for both postpaid and prepaid customers—unprecedented at the time. It also had the distinction of being the first telco to ever offer iPhone prepaid plans.

Will we still epic iPhone X offers from team orange next Friday? I certainly hope so. If you want to be one of the first in Malaysia to own one, and avoid queues, perhaps it would be wise to pre-order.

Apple’s best smartphone features an all-new glass-metal design with an all-screen 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED display, cutting-edge TrueDepth camera with FaceID, powerful A11 Bionic chip, incredible 12MP dual cameras, wireless charging, just to name a few. It runs the latest iOS 11 out-of-the-box.

Earlier, DxOMark remarked that the iPhone X “delivers one hell of a smartphone camera” after the device recorded the best ever subscore in still photography.
