Pre-order Huawei Nova 7i and get a free Huawei Band 4

Huawei Nova 7i

Huawei’s latest selfie superstar—the Huawei Nova 7i is heading to you on Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2020. Malaysia is the first country outside of China to offer this feature-packed smartphone. To celebrate its entry into the local market, Huawei Malaysia is opening pre-order books for the device where early birds can take home a Huawei Band 4 worth MYR139 for free.

We know almost everything there is to know about the Huawei Nova 7i already (you can refer to this announcement post) except for the price. Well, until now. Huawei Malaysia has finally come out in the open the revealed the official pricing. Based on previous pricing for the Nova series, I estimated that the Nova 7i would be priced between MYR1,200-MYR1,299.

Guess what? Wrong.

The Huawei Nova 7i slides in at a cool MYR1,099. Rival-killing, if not in specifications, at least in pricing.

As a quick refresher, the Nova 7i features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ LTPS IPS LCD display and is offered in three colour options: Midnight Black, Sakura Pink and Crush Green.

It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is powered by the new octa-core 7nm Kirin 810 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

Keeping things juiced is a 4,200mAh battery that supports 40W SuperCharge via USB-C.

In the camera stakes, the Nova 7i sports a set of four intelligent camera comprising a 48MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-camera, 2MP f/2.4 depth camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. On the front is an AI-assisted 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Due to the US trade ban, this may be the first Nova series smartphone in Malaysia to ship with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).
