The nova series is Huawei’s answer to the competitive mid-range segment. The nova 2i last year was ground-breaking, partly because it was the world’s first quad-camera phone, but mostly because it packed so much for the price. Topping the mid-range darling is undoubtedly challenging. But Huawei has stepped up and brought its A-game with the new nova 3 series.
The nova 3 and nova 3i were launched last week, 28 July, and they address different sub-segments of the mid-range market. The “P20” nova 3 is an unbelievable flagship-level device. On the other hand, the nova 3i is the entry-level model in the nova series.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t feature-packed though. The nova 3i features a 24MP f/2.0 + 2MP front camera setup, complemented by a 16MP f/2.2 + 2MP dual rear cameras. The cameras are reinforced with AI scene and object recognition, delivering optimised photos.
The device is available in Black, Pearl White and a special gradient colour – Iris Purple.
Retailing at MYR1,249, the nova 3i is available for sale across Huawei Experience Stores, display zones and authorised dealers.
As an option, you can also pick up the device at supporting telcos with attractive postpaid plans.

Digi – nova 3i for only MYR1 with 60GB of free internet data
With the Digi Postpaid Plan 190 and 160, you can own the nova 3i for only MYR1. You’ll get unlimited calls, 100GB and 70GB of data respectively. When you travel, you’ll also enjoy 5GB of internet data and 60 minutes calls for free.
Additionally, nova 3i users will enjoy complimentary 60GB of internet data. This is applicable to new registrations, port-ins, and existing Digi Postpaid mobile customers on Digi Postpaid Plan 80 and above, excluding Digi Postpaid Family Plans.
