OPPO Reno2 gets price revision starting Valentine’s Day

OPPO Reno2 Review

OPPO’s premium mid-ranger—OPPO Reno2 is now an even better buy, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Previously retailing for MYR2,299, OPPO has dropped the price down to MYR1,999. In our review, we found it an excellent successor to the original Reno, with a sweet combination of performance, battery life and versatile camera system.

The OPPO Reno2 features an elegant, minimalist design and gloss finish. What you’ll like is the lack of a camera bump—the quad-camera array is flushed with the body. Aside from the tiny “O Dot” that keeps the cameras safe from scratches when you lay the phone on the table, of course.

Housed in the sleep glass and metal body is the 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and under the hood runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G CPU coupled with the Adreno 618 GPU. These are paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Reno2 is easily one of the most versatile shooters out there. There’s a 48MP f/1.7 wide-angle main shooter with OIS and EIS, a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 and a 2MP f/2.4 monochrome bokeh camera. The camera system is capable of up to 20X digital zoom.

The famous shark fin pop-up camera is a 16MP f/2.0 unit.

It gets a 4,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C. The device supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0, capable of giving you 40 percent of power with just 30 minutes of charging.
