And just like that, Samsung has announced its flagship Galaxy S III smartphone at the exclusive Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 event in London today. Major specs include a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 8MP primary and 1.9MP front-facing cameras with burst and best-shot modes, 16/32GB of storage (64GB is coming later) with microSD expansion, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS reception, 802.11n Wi-Fi, NFC, and a large 2,100mAh battery. As expected it comes with a 1.4Ghz Exynos 4 quad-core system-on-chip. The phone is 8.6mm thick and weighs 133gms. It is a multi-band world phone, and will have LTE support in certain countries.
