Microsoft recently released Office Mobile for Android phones in Malaysia, along with 13 other markets in Asia Pacific (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Rep. of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Taiwan). This is a follow-up from the brand new version of Office Mobile preinstalled on Windows Phone 8 devices, and Office Mobile for iPhone (in June).

Office Mobile for Android phones in Malaysia is available to all Office 365 subscribers for free. The new productivity suite can be downloaded from Google Play. To use the app, you need a qualifying Office 365 subscription, including Office 365 Home Premium or Office 365 ProPlus (you can find the complete list of qualifying subscriptions here).

Office Mobile is the official companion to Microsoft Office – the familiar Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps, now on your Android phone. Any edits or comments you add to a document, will have its formatting and layout intact, so when you return to a PC or Mac, your document will look like it should.

Office Mobile is the true mobile productivity app, built from ground up for mobile executives. It ensures easy access of your Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents via SkyDrive or SkyDrive Pro. Never lose your documents, and always have them in sync.

One excellent feature of Office Mobile is the Resume Reading feature. When reviewing Word documents, Resume Reading will take you to the exact point in the document where you left it on your PC/Mac, so you don’t waste time searching.

Another outstanding feature is the ability to edit documents and share them right from your phone. Once you’re done editing a file, you can save it back to SkyDrive or send it as an email attachment.

Download Office Mobile from the Google Play store today. If you want to try Office Mobile for Android phones, but don’t have an Office 365 subscription, you can sign up for a free 30 day Office 365 trial at http://www.office.com/.
