Hot on the heels of the GT75VR Titan, MSI has unleashed two new mid-range gaming notebooks—the GE63VR and GE73VR Raider. The powerful VR-ready notebooks boast 7th gen Intel Core i7 processors, up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, a 120Hz display and SteelSeries RGB backlight keyboard.
MSI is the first company to introduce a multicolour keyboard with adjustable individual keys. As each gamer has his own preference, they can now customise the colour of each key to their liking.
GE73VR Raider
The 17-inch monster is packed with a GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5), coupled with a 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor. Out-of-the-box you’ll get 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 256GB NVMe SSD + 1TB 7200rpm SATA drive.
The 17.3-inch anti-glare Full HD display delivers 120Hz wideview 94% NTSC colour gamut, and 3ms response time, and with Direct X 12 support.
As expected from a MSI notebook, it simply checks every single checkbox be it in the graphics, cooling, connectivity or audio department. There is enough acronyms to create a bible, but this of course, is great for gamers who want an all-rounder.
Audio is undeniably an essential part of the gaming experience. MSI doesn’t skimp here—the GE73VR gets a new giant speaker set by Dynaudio coupled with Nahimic Sound. It’s 3x larger than its predecessor, with 10x more chamber space for clearer treble and deeper bass.
Keeping things cool is a 31-blade fan, four dedicated GPU and CPU heatpipes that give you 20% better airflow.
And there’s so much more including Killer Gaming Network E2500 ethernet LAN, Killer WLAN, Bluetooth 4.1, multi-format card reader, 3x USB 3.0, HDMI, mDP 1.2, USB 3.1 Type-C, and audio port.
GE63VR Raider
The GE63VR has all the goodness of its bigger sibling but is packed in a more compact 15.6-inch chassis. The display is a similar anti-glare Full HD unit with 120Hz wideview 94% NTSC colour gamut and 3ms response time.
It comes with 128GB SSD + 1TB SATA storage, with a similar Intel Core i7-7700HQ and GeForce GTX 1060 combo.

The duo is available for pre-order from now until 24 August 2017 from the MSI Authorised Online Store, 11street MSI Authorised Store, MSI retailers and retail partner Harvey Norman.
