Honda Malaysia announced that it will gradually start its after-sales services starting 29 April 2020 following receipt of approval from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), and other required approvals. Its sales office, manufacturing plan and dealer showrooms will remain closed during the Movement Control Order (MCO) which has been extended until 12 May 2020.
Honda emphasises that it is taking all necessary precautions at its dealerships nationwide to ensure the safety and well-being of its customers and associates. It stresses that the resumption of services comes with the implementation of proactive precautionary measures in accordance with guidelines and regulations set by MITI and other relevant bodies. Frequent sanitisation and disinfection are made a basic routine at its facilities, the company says.
Here is what Honda will do when you visit a dealership
Upon arrival, you will undergo temperature scanning and hand sanitisers will be available for use while your appointment status is being verified.
Anyone recording a temperature of 37.5C and above or exhibiting symptoms of fever, cough, and shortness of breath are advised to leave the premises to seek immediate medical attention.
The company is enforcing stringent measures including crowd control and social distancing, where the number of customers present at any one time for car service shall be kept at a minimum capacity.
Do note that it is compulsory to schedule an appointment as no walk-in customers will be entertained.
To maintain social distancing, Honda dealers will implement a car drop service. This new service allows customers with appointments to just drop off their cars at dealership and conduct discussions on their car service (or enquiries) over the phone. This will help safeguard the well-being of both customers and service advisors as well as provide substantial convenience to Honda car owners.
