Lenovo Legion of Champions Series IV deadline extended

Legion of Champions (LoC) is back for the fourth iteration, promising to be the biggest yet. In partnership with Intel, Lenovo’s flagship Asia Pacific esports tournament will see gamers from 12 markets in the region battle it out for a combined price money of MYR89,100. Due to overwhelming response, Lenovo is extending the registration due date for LoC IV to 13 October 2019.

This year’s LoC will see the introduction of two new crowd-favourite games: PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG) and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).

For the first time ever, LoC will also host an all-female tournament—the Legion of Valkryies (LoV), where female gamers will battle it out in CS:GO.

Both LoC and LoV qualifiers will take place on the Rise of Legion platform—Lenovo’s very own flagship online esports league.

Local champions and grand finalists will be competing for a combined prize pool of USD89,100 (~MYR370,000 across two games)—the largest prize pool of any LoC tournament yet. At the end of the tournament, the winning team for PUBG will walk away with USD4,000 and USD10,000 worth of Legion devices. Meanwhile. CS:GO winners will walk away with USD5,000 and USD12,500 worth of Legion devices.

The top four LoV finalists in the region will face-off in the penultimate Grand Finals showdown that will happen at Pantip Mall in Bangkok, from 12-14 December 2019.

At LoC III held earlier in the year, more than 8,000 gamers participated in front of 16,000 on-site attendees.
