The iPhone 8 is here, but it’s a great time to pick up a cheaper older gen

With the coming of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, Apple expectedly slashes prices of its previous generation models. The iPhone SE is still one of the most affordable, entry-level devices, topped by the iPhone 7/7 Plus.

For those of you who aren’t in the habit of buying the latest and greatest, these represent rather compelling deals. I mean, these are still incredibly solid products.

Apple has of course tapered down the variants, offering more streamlined storage options. Across the board, Apple is sticking to 32GB as the base, while hitting 128GB on the top end.

So, let’s see now. If you still like the small form factor with respectable internals, then the iPhone SE 32GB will be a good bet, starting from just MYR1,749.

The iPhone 6s or 6s Plus are still great devices, and you can grab one from as low as MYR2,249.

A more current iPhone 7 is MYR450 off its original launch price, which is a good bargain as well.

Full list below:

  • iPhone SE 32GB – MYR1,749
  • iPhone SE 128GB – MYR2,249
  • iPhone 6s 32GB – MYR2,249
  • iPhone 6s 128GB – MYR2,749
  • iPhone 7 32GB – MYR2,749
  • iPhone 7 128GB – MYR3,249
  • iPhone 7 Plus 32GB – MYR3,349
  • iPhone 7 Plus 128GB – MYR3,849

While unlisted on Apple’s own online store, you’ll still be able to pick up the limited edition iPhone 6 32GB for MYR1,499, the cheapest iPhone you can buy. There may even still be old iPhone 5s stocks left, if nostalgia’s your thing.

Head over to Apple Online Store for options and pricing.

If you’ve suddenly stumbled upon a wad of cash, perhaps you should wait for the iPhone 8. Or iPhone X. ?
