Apple is certainly full of surprises. The biggest, baddest, most expensive Apple tablet – iPad Pro is coming to Malaysia later today, 11 November 2015. The 12.9-inch power slate is also being made available across 39 other countries globally. For those looking for a MacBook replacement, this could be a viable (though pricey) option, coupled with the Smart Keyboard Cover and Apple Pencil.
The iPad Pro can be purchased at the Apple Online Store starting today, and will be made available in retail channels by end of the week.
The high-end tablet features the highest ever resolution Retina display (2,732 x 2,048) on any iOS device, packing 5.6 million pixels. It weight 713g and measures just 6.9mm thin. Coming in Silver, Space Grey and Gold options, the iPad Pro also gets a four-speaker system, the first time ever on an iPad.
Under the hood, the third generation A9X chip powers the new tablet – a whopping 22x CPU performance over the original iPad. Apple claims the 64-bit desktop architecture of the new A9X chip beats 80% of portable PCs out there.
Connectivity-wise, it comes with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 4G LTE Cellular variants. The LTE variant supports up to 20 LTE bands. In selected countries, you can get an Apple SIM with the device. With it installed, you can purchase a data plan right from your iPad in more than 90 countries.
The iPad Pro runs the latest iOS 9. Check out full specs in the previous post.
