Introducing “Tech Musings” weekly column, by industry veteran Edwin Yapp

Edwin Yapp
Edwin Yapp

He’s someone who needs little introduction. An award-winning full-time journalist with his own editorial consultancy, inSight Editorial Service; co-founder and contributing editor to the highly-respected Digital News Asia news portal; just to name a few. He is none other than Edwin Yapp, and he’ll be contributing his thoughts and opinions on all things tech under a new column on VERNONCHAN.COM called “Tech Musings.”

In many ways, I’ve personally considered Edwin a mentor, having been following his columns and articles on myriad publications for years, namely The Edge’s pullout [email protected], Personal Money, The Star’s former tech pullout In.Tech, The Malaysian Insider and more. He was also a Malaysian correspondent/blogger for tech portal ZDNet Asia, sister site for the excellent CNET News.com.

Unsurprisingly, his contribution to the telecommunications industry has garnered him industry acclaim including the DiGi Best Online Article in 2003 and 2005.

Edwin-Verne
The award-winning journo, friend and overall super nice guy, and… I.

Having him onboard is both humbling and an honour and I trust his presence will add tremendous value to VERNONCHAN.COM and most importantly for you, readers.

I, for one, look forward to learning more from this industry veteran and hope to be a better, more complete writer in the process.

Welcome aboard, Edwin!

Catch Edwin Yapp’s “Tech Musings” every Wednesday right here on VERNONCHAN.COM. Enjoy.
