Huawei Malaysia today trolled fellow Xiaomi Malaysia on its Facebook page, cleverly thanking them for celebrating the launch of the Huawei Honor 3C phone.
Huawei launched its new mid-range phone, the Honor 3C, in Malaysia today, the first country in South East Asia to get the device.
Upstart Xiaomi has been receiving plenty of press for their flagship Mi2 and Mi3 device overseas, selling like hotcakes in countries like China and Singapore. Xiaomi has yet to have proper presence here in Malaysia, although phones like the Mi2 and Redmi have been available (albeit scarcely) in the grey market.
Xiaomi Malaysia had posted a teaser yesterday, “Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.” Huawei took the opportunity to troll Xiaomi earlier today.
Sounds like a bitter rivalry brewing (for the good of consumers of course).
Good one though, Huawei.
