For technophiles and early adopters, early access to software updates and unreleased features are a big thing. HTC has posted details of its secret “HTC Preview” program, currently limited to only the US-based HTC Elevate community – a private community of HTC brand enthusiasts and device owners.

The preview program will give users early access to unreleased software updates and be part of user trials. HTC may also provide loan devices although in most cases users will use their own.

In the FAQ as detailed by Android Police, most of the user trials will include MR Updates and HTC app Play Store updates. There will be user trials for hardware when products are launched as well.

User trials may last for a period of 6-10 weeks.

Preview program participants may also get the occasional freebie for their participation and contribution in the program.

Those accepted into the program will need to sign NDA.

HTC Preview will eventually be available to the general public although there’s no timeline for that. Stay tuned, I guess.

You may want to follow @HTCelevate on Twitter which occasional posts links to provide access.
