Move aside, honor 7A. A new wallet-friendly device from honor’s stable is in town. As teased earlier, the honor 7S was unveiled today, and will be available for purchase from 27 June on Lazada and hihonor. The budget device with a FullView display is priced at just MYR379.
The honor 7S is slightly smaller than the honor 7A, sporting a 5.45-inch HD+ FullView display (1440×720). It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and basic 16GB of storage.
There’s microSD expansion (you’re going to need it) and the good news is that it has a dedicated microSD slot.
Considering it’s a super budget device, the omission of the fingerprint scanner doesn’t come at a surprise.
In the camera department, it packs a 13MP main shooter with PDAF and LED flash. Meanwhile the front gets a 5MP selfie-shooter with a smart LED selfie-light.
The device is juiced by a 3,020mAh battery that charges up via micro-USB.
It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the box.
Pricing and availability
The honor 7S comes in gold or black and can be purchased exclusively at Lazada and hihonor. The phone will be available starting 27 June 2018 and is priced at MYR379.
For the first 500 buyers, honor is giving away a tripod selfie stick from hihonor or a 32GB microSD card from Lazada. Whilst stocks last.
