Google has outed a Google Play Edition of the budget Moto G smartphone. The popular smartphone will cost US$179 and US$199 for the 8GB and 16GB variants respectively.
The Moto G will come with an unmodified version of Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The Moto G is highly-inspired by the flagship Moto X, with an interchangeable rear panel for different colour options.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip running at 1.2Ghz. The Moto G Google Play Edition will not come with 4G LTE (tops out at HSPA+).
Other highlights include a 5MP main camera, and 1.3MP front-facing shooter.
Google says the Moto G Google Play Edition will ship out in 1-2 business days.
The standard Moto G will be launched officially in Malaysia later today. Stay tuned for coverage.
