Forget about paying in cash at the Big Bad Wolf book fair

vcash

If you’re heading to this year’s Big Bad Wolf (BBW) book fair at MIECC, The Mines, you can literally leave your wallet at home. The massive book fair that runs from 8-18 December 2017, supports purchases using vcash, an e-wallet that works with any bank, telco and any smartphone.

Vcash is the first digital wallet to be adopted by BBW. A solution offered by Digi Telecommunications in partnership with Valyou, it offers a simple, secure cashless purchase experience at numerous retail outlets nationwide, including at BBW.

How to get started with vcash

All you need to do is download the vcash app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for free. Follow the simple setup instructions, then deposit money into your vcash e-wallet. To pay for a purchase, simply scan the BBW QR code and input the payable amount to make payment.

All transactions are secure, completed with a six-digit PIN or fingerprint authorisation.

Funding your vcash e-wallet

To deposit money into your e-wallet is easy, too. You can do it through online banking via FPX or JomPAY. Over 21 retail banks are supported in Malaysia. Or you can walk into one of 300 Digi stores and dealership to deposit cash over the counter.

Benefits of using vcash at BBW

Aside from the convenience of not needing to carry cash with you, if you’re using vcash at BBW you’ll enjoy some perks. With every MYR150 spend with vcash, you’ll get MYR10 instant cash back. Also, if you deposit MYR100 into vcash you’ll receive a special edition tote bag for free, redeembale at vcash counters (whilst stocks last).
