Digi says sorry for disrupted services, here’s 500MB free internet today

Digi Smart Prepaid

The yellow telco experienced disruptions to its calls and data services on 10 November, leaving some users frustrated over the downtime. Digi has since restored the services and has announced that it is offering 500MB free data to all of its postpaid and prepaid customers, as a gesture of goodwill.

A short circuit in its power system at 6.27PM on 10 November caused disruption to its services. Digi’s tech team shut down power supply to its server to ensure safety and subsequently restored services progressively over the next few hours.

Some users still encountered data and call issues approaching midnight the same day.

If you’re a Digi customer, you’ll need to activate the offer by today (11.59PM 13 November) and it will be valid for 24 hours upon activation.
