Leading up to CES 2019, Samsung has announced three new monitors: the jaw-dropping CRG9 for gamers; the ultimate space-saving Samsung Space Monitor; the UR59C, a 4K UHD curved monitor built for content creators.
The CRG9 is a gamer’s dream display. It’s the world’s first high resolution super ultra-wide gaming monitor with a 32:9 aspect ratio. It boasts 120Hz refresh rate with a fast 4ms response time on a 49-inch display. It features AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 HDR technology to reduce stutter, screen tearing and input latency to promise the best possible frame rates and smoothest gaming experience.
Equivalent to two 27-inch QHD 16:9 monitors placed side-by-side, the CRG9 offers dual QHD resolution (5120×1440), HDR10 support and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The monitor leverages on Samsung’s Quantum dot technology for exceptionally accurate colour reproduction, a 1800mm screen curvature and an ultra-wide field of view.
The CRG9 includes one HDMI port, two Display Ports, USB 3.0 and headphone connectivity.
For designer types or those who simply appreciate modern, minimalistic design, the Samsung Space Monitor is a true work of functional art. It’s built from ground up to be space-saving and frees up your desk space from clutter. It features a minimalist fully-integrated arm and clamps to the desk.
It’s easy to set up and adjust when you aren’t using it. Simply push it back and it stores flat against the wall.
It boasts easy ergonomic adjustment, port access and a discreet cable management system.
Looks aside, the monitor is a high-performance 27-inch display pushing QHD resolution. The 32-inch model, on the other hand, delivers content in 4K UHD.
Finally, the UR59C is the world’s first 32-inch curved 4K UHD display (3840×2160) designed for content creators. The 1500R curvature delivers a more immersive viewing experience be it watching videos, playing games or creating content.
It’s available in Dark Blue Gray and features a super slim design with a depth of only 6.7mm and a fabric-textured rear casing.
The three-sided bezel-less screen is attached to a slender yet sturdy V-slim metal stand with a two-prong base that hides cables and reduces desk top footprint.
The three monitors will be showcased at the Samsung CES booth (#15006) at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 8-11 January 2019.
