Tonight, we shall all raise our pint of juices, energy drinks and beers to cheer on Gearbox for completing Borderlands 2. According to Gearboxity, the official community website for the developers, their game has been sent for certification. Which means it should launch on time with no hiccups (fingers crossed).

The Certification process indicates that the process is final, ready to be mass produced and released to the mass audience. After the certification was sent, Gearbox shifted their focus on post-launch projects, in other words Downloadable Contents (DLC). The DLC will include the all new class that everyone has been talking about, the Mechromancer. Please take note that this character will be released free to the Premiere Club’s members roughly 60 to 90 days after launch.
Gearbox also mentioned that Mechromancer is one of the many bonuses.
Woah, hold on. Don’t fret, to get the bonuses all you need to do is pre-order Borderlands 2 from a participating retailers before September 18 in North America and September 21 Internationally.
