Building a better nation with Boost

Boost my Malaysia

This Malaysia Day, homegrown and leading e-wallet Boost is encouraging all Malaysians to do their part to make the country a better place with “Boost My Malaysia.” The campaign focuses on instilling five core values: kindness, cleanliness, healthier, fairer and a more progressive Malaysia as key building blocks for a better nation.

Over the next four weeks, Malaysians will have the opportunity to come together and support various causes by leveraging on the Boost platform.

Leading by example and set the tone to building a “Kinder Malaysia,” Boost joined hands with Pertiwi Soup Kitchen on 13 September to distribute food aid to the less fortunate from the inner-city communities of Kuala Lumpur.

Some of the ways Malaysians can contribute to and support the “Boost My Malaysia” movement is simply by spending with Boost. From now until 11 October, Boost pledges up to MYR2.50 to various causes for every 100 transactions done via the app.

Here are the four main causes:

For a Kinder Malaysia: With every 100 online payment transactions made, Boost will give back to Pertiwi Soup Kitchen to provide food aid to the less fortunate.

For a Cleaner Malaysia: Boost is collaborating with the World Health Organisation Global Service Centre on an international coastal cleanup movement. Every 100 bill payment transactions will mean removing 1kg worth of trash from our coasts and to keep the beaches clean, as well as contribute to Reef Check Malaysia.

For a Fairer and a Progressive Malaysia: Boost is working hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Rural Development on the Desa Pintar initiative to enhance entrepreneurship among rural residents and bring them up to speed in the digital economy. Other initiatives include the development of epcial education. For every 100 “Scan & Pay” transactions done at physical parters and merchants, Boost will contribute towards this cause.

For a Healthier Malaysia: With every 100 prepaid top-ups purchased, Boost commits to help MySTEMI Foundation to generate funds that will enable heart patients to gain access to the latest heart attack treatments and intervention.

You may already know this; since the early days of the app (which wasn’t too long ago), you can directly donate to different charities from your Boost e-wallet—from welfare homes like Yayasan Kebajikan Negara Malaysia; building homes for the underprivileged like Epic Homes; the Red Crescent Society; mosques like Masjid Saidina Umar Al Khattab Community Fund; nature conservation funds like Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia and Reef Check Malaysia; and many more.
