ASUS Malaysia has announced “Incredible Zen Day” an exclusive event for ‘Zen Fans.’ The Taiwanese tech brand is expected to reveal the much-awaited flagship smartphone ZenFone 2 at the event to be held at KL Live, Kuala Lumpur on 9 May 2015.
Incredible Zen Day is open to 1,000 Zen Fans, so if you’re interested to catch this exciting event, register here.
There’s no further information about the event, aside from clues of the ZenFone 2. Will there be special performances? A mini concert perhaps? A festive atmosphere? Who knows. 1,000 pax is a lot of people.
Whatever the case, register to avoid disappointment.
The ZenFone 2, as revealed at Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) is ASUS’ latest flagship smartphone — a 5.5-inch device that will complement its current, highly-popular ZenFone range.
The ZenFone 2 has several variants — ZE551ML with 4GB RAM, ZE551ML with 2GB RAM, ZE550ML with a 5.5-inch HD display and ZE500CL with 5-inch HD display. It is unclear which variant will be available in Malaysia, but the 4GB/2GB variants are a high possibility.
The new ZenFone 2 is sleek, with a rounded back that resembles the LG G2. It’s powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor running at 2.3Ghz. It gets 32/64GB of storage with support for microSD expansion.
The 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display pushes out 403PPI, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
The famed PixelMaster technology returns with a 13MP rear autofocus camera, with a 5MP front-facing camera.
ZenUI wraps around Android 5.0 Lollipop, with some feature enhancements.
The ZenFone 2 looks great on paper, and should, again, give pricier flagships a run for their money.
I’ll be in Jakarta together with the MindBlow team for the big regional launch, so watch for fast and furious updates here and on SoyaCincau, TheSkop and TheHypedGeek.
