Apple continues to stamp its mark in the tablet market with a thriving developer community and growing number of available iPad apps. A year and a bit is all it took to see the App Store hit 100,000 apps, powering its seemingly unassailable lead even further from its competitors, be it Android, RIM, Windows or WebOS. If there’s one thing to learn from this is that the number of quality apps can make or break a tablet. Apple has shown that a rich app platform and an efficient, unified delivery system is what it takes to make things work, sometimes much more than hardware specs and feature set.
Let’s hope the rest of the competitors learn from this and improve their fighting chance, eh?
