On Thursday 4am PT, Apple revealed issues with several of its iCloud services – iMessage, Photo Stream, Documents in the Cloud, Backup and Restore, and iPhoto Journals. This is not the first time iCloud users have experienced a service outage, the last being in June where it affected some 20% of its users.
Less than one percent of users were affected by the outage, and services have been restored since. Apple’s status page indicates that the outage started on Wednesday, around 9.30pm PT.
iCloud has a user base of over 300 million to date.
