An iPhone 5 Concept That’s Evolutionary

iPhone 5 Concept by Michal Bonikowski

The Apple iPhone 5 is possibly the most talked about, speculated smartphone for the past half a year. Will it be powered by the dual-core A5? Will it have a 4″ Retina Display? An 8MP camera? Is it a world phone with multi-band including LTE? What would it look like? Thinner, lighter, wider, sexier? Most importantly, would it be called an iPhone 5? Or a speed-bumped iPhone 4s?

Speculate all you want, but designer Michal Bonikowski seems to think that there’s only that much you can do to improve perfection. His renderings of the iPhone 5 seem to point to a design language that is evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. It still retains its metal bezel and familiar front fascia. The back is metal, replacing glass on the current iPhone 4.

Personally, I find this design very appealing and desirable. It retains the iPhone’s premium, sleek form factor. Changes are subtle but ultimately works well in a coherent package.

Sweet. Would you buy one of these? I would 🙂 Do you like this concept? Tell me what you think.
