Huawei’s mid-range portfolio gets a boost today with the coming of the entry-level nova 2 Lite, a follow-up to the best-selling nova 2i. The device rocks a 5.99-inch Full View HD bezel-less display, a dual-camera setup and runs Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top. It will go on sale from 23 March at a price of MYR799.
The shiny device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB on in-built storage. A plus point is the triple card slot for dual-SIM and microSD.
Aligned with the current trend of bezel-less displays, the nova 2 Lite features a 5.99-inch HD IPS (720×1440) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
In terms of optics, the device comes with a dual-camera setup—13MP + 2MP on the rear, and an 8MP selfie with natural soft flash. Like the nova 2i, the nova 2 Lite also supports Face Unlock and AR lens features.
The metal unibody design comes in two colour options: Black and Blue, with the device weighing in at a scant 155g.
Fuelling the device is a fairly common 3,000mAh battery that charges via micro-USB. It comes with all the gear a smartphone should have: dual-SIM 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back.
