Acer has just announced a little boost for its ultraslim notebook—Acer Swift 3—now with 8th Generation Intel Core i5 power. First making an appearance in early August flashing a new design, and Stellar Blue and Salmon Pink colours, the notebook is now available in Malaysia.
The good-looking Swift 3 comes in an all-aluminium chassis that measures just 17.95mm thin. Available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display options, the ultraslim notebook is powerful, power-efficient and feature-packed.
It boasts a battery life of 10 hours, and the latest 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac wireless connectivity.
The Swift 3 features up to 256GB SSD storage and 8GB of DDR4 memory. As mentioned, it rocks the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor.
The latest generation Intel Core processor family, which was just revealed two days ago, is still based on “Kaby Lake” architecture. Intel has crammed more cores into the processor, and it offers 40% better performance over the 7th generation.
Acer is again first to the mark with Intel’s latest silicon, which is expected to power over 80 notebooks to be made available by end of this year. The Taiwanese PC maker achieved a similar feat with the 7th Generation Intel Core processor family.
Moving on, the notebook also includes the Acer Fingerprint Reader, that pairs perfectly with Windows Hello to offer a quick and secure way of authentication.
Additionally, the Swift 3 features a USB 3.1 Type-CTM port that supports fast data transfer, display output and for charging.
The backlit keyboard is paired with a large 62mm touchpad.
