Adobe MAX 2017: Day 2 in pictures

Adobe MAX 2017

Following the epic opening day at Adobe MAX 2017 in Las Vegas, the second day was all about sharing sessions by inspirational speakers from different creative fields.

Jonathan Adler

Opening the packed floor was Jonathan Adler–potter, designer and author. He was the perfect start to the morning with his colourful humour and inspirational story. From selling his collection of pots to Barneys in 1993, to opening his first store in Soho, his brand’s footprint now spans 25 stores worldwide, and a thriving e-commerce site. He also has a slate of residential and commercial projects, and a wholesale business covering over 1,000 locations globally.

Annie Griffiths

I love photographer Annie Griffiths‘ gripping work. She’s one of the first women photographers to work for National Geographic. Her visual story-telling work has brought to nearly 150 countries. She’s worked on dozens of magazine and book projects for National Geographic, including stories on Lawrence of Arabia, Baja California, Galilee, Petra, Sydney, New Zealand, and Jerusalem.

Aside from her commercial work, Griffiths is deeply committed to using photography to document programs that empower women and girls in the developing world.

Jon Favreau

The super-talented director, writer and actor, Jon Favreau was up next. As you may know, he’s the brains behind the camera for Cowboys & Aliens, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, Elf and more. He’s currently directing the Disney live action feature, The Lion King, after directing the wildly successful The Jungle Book.

Favreau also serves as the third VP of the Directors Guild of America; board member for the American Cinematheque and also the supporter for Tony Hawk’s Stand Up for Skateparks Fundraiser for the past eight years.

Mark Ronson

The crowd went funky when award-winning DJ, producer Mark Ronson was introduced on stage. Starting his career as New York’s hottest DJ, Ronson has just produced his fourth album Uptown Special.

He has produced for Grammy award-winning superstar Bruno Mars (“Uptown Funk” ftw), and Amy Winehouse’s multi-platinum Back to Black album.

Ronson went on to spin at MAX Bash later that night!

Day 2 at MAX continued with more lab sessions and workshops, the epic Sneaks session, and the icing-on-the-cake MAX Bash later that evening.
