French smartphone maker Wiko may already have over a dozen smartphones under its belt, but it isn’t resting on its laurels. If you loved the Ufeel (that Sandstone finish, wow) and Ufeel Lite, then you’re going to love this. Here comes Wiko’s most premium and powerful device yet – Ufeel Prime.

Primed for awesomeness

The first thing you’ll notice is the sleek unibody metal design with an elegant, premium finish. Available in gold, it measures just 8.7mm and weighs a scant 150g (that’s including the battery). The curved candy bar form factor feels great in the hands.

What you’ll like, I’m sure, is the 5-inch Full HD IPS display with 2.5D glass packing some 441PPI. With scratch-resistant full lamination and CABC technology, it’s fantastic for catching up on videos or playing games.

Packed to impress

Under the hood, the Ufeel Prime rocks a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, mated to an Adreno 505 GPU. It also boasts a whopping 4GB of RAM, something not yet seen on any Wiko smartphone thus far. This is also mighty impressive in terms of a smartphone costing under MYR1,000. In the storage department, the device packs a commendable 32GB of storage.

If you fill that storage up, fret not, there’s microSD expansion of up to 64GB more.

Sharp shooter

Built into the physical home button is a fast fingerprint sensor, that can unlock in less than half a second. But it’s no one trick pony. Register up to five fingerprints and assign different tasks to them.

Nowadays, you can’t talk about a smartphone without focusing on its optics. The Ufeel Prime sports a 13MP rear shooter with PDAF and dual LED flash. The front shooter is no less impressive, at 8MP. What’s awesome is that it includes a selfie flash. Never ever take a badly-lit, blurry selfie again.

All the right moves

As far as a modern smartphone goes, it ticks all the right boxes – WiFi 802.11b/g/n, micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.1 and 3.5mm jack (yes it has one!).

It’s a dual-SIM, 4G LTE device that takes two nano-SIMs or one nano-SIM + one microSD card combo.

And in true Wiko tradition, the Ufeel Prime runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with the new Wiko UI on top.
