With U Mobile’s Data BackPack, you can roam for free

U Mobile Data BackPack

If you travel around Asia often, then you’ll going to love this. How about roaming for free? With U Mobile’s new Data BackPack, you pay nothing for roaming, and you can use data from your existing U Mobile plan. Sounds awesome, eh?

The Data BackPack currently works in 12 countries across Asia including Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

You’ll need to be on a Hero P70, i90, i130, UD95 or UD135 postpaid plan to be able to enjoy Data BackPack.

All you need to do is to activate international roaming before you travel. Make sure you connect to the preferred roaming partner. There’s absolutely no data roaming charges and your data allocation is only limited by your current telco plan.

If you’re caught out of quota overseas, you can easily add more with a Booster Plan. It only costs MYR10 for 1.5GB that is valid for three days. You can get the Booster Plan via the MyUMobile app.

If you’re not eligible for Data BackPack, don’t fret. You have the option of the recently launched U Data Roam, where you can still enjoy affordable data roaming from MYR10 or MYR36/day. U Data Roam 10 is available for prepaid and postpaid in 12 countries, while U Data Roam 36 is available in 15 countries.

The Data BackPack is ground-breaking, and will certainly be handy when I’m overseas. No more bill shocks and more flexibility when you roam with U Mobile’s Data BackPack and U Data Roam options.
