Malaysian consumers are spoilt for choice. Perhaps even muddled at their choice of telco. After intense battles on the postpaid front, it looks like the fight will now shift its focus to prepaid. Firing the first salvo was Maxis’ Hotlink FAST prepaid last week. And now Celcom’s Xpax has dived in with even more value for customers.

As you may be aware, Xpax currently has the Magic SIM – a groundbreaking prepaid plan at launch with free basic internet, free high speed internet and free calls and SMS. Magic SIM waved goodbye to pay-per-use data, a much-lauded move for prepaid users.

Today, it introduced an upgraded Magic SIM, now oddly called M4GIC SIM. The ‘4’ in its name represents the four key unique selling propositions of the plan – unlimited calls, free basic internet, carry forward internet and free unlimited Yonder Music.

The most important element in the new M4GIC SIM though, is the new Magic Reload. Magic Reload are internet plans of various ‘sizes’ that ride on M4GIC SIM. These plans can be subscribed at any time.
