[CES 2015] Lenovo announces affordable tablets, AIOs and notebooks for home computing

Lenovo at CES 2015 announced an expanded lineup of PC devices catered for consumers in the home and on-the-go. The #1 PC maker launched two Lenovo TAB 2 A7 tablets, FLEX 3 convertible notebooks (11, 14 and 15-inch), U31 and U41 notebooks; and an expanded line of all-in-one (AIO) desktops – B50, C20, C40 and C50 models.

FLEX 3: Now does 360

If you’ve ever wanted a YOGA convertible but are on a budget, then the FLEX 3 is the perfect choice. Now with a 360-degree hinge, you can enjoy for modes of use — Tent, Stand, Tablet or Laptop mode.

The FLEX 3 is convertible and also thin and light, offering a full Windows 8.1 experience with up to the latest 5th generation Intel Core i7 processors in the 14- and 15-inch models. The 11-inch FLEX 3 gets the Pentium and up to 1TB of storage.

The 11-inch FLEX 3 sports a HD 1366×768 display while the 14- and 15-inch get up to a Full HD display along with stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Home Theatre technology.

TAB 2 A7: For first time tablet buyers

Catered for first time tablet buyers, the TAB 2 A7-10 annd A7-30 offer a full Android 4.4 KitKat experience without the heavy price tag. Measuring a slim 9.3mm and weighing 269g, the A7-10 also runs up to eight hours on a single charge. It packs a microSD slot for storage expansion of up to 32GB, a MediaTek quad-core processor, 7-inch HD IPS touch display and Dolby sound. The A7-10 comes in Ebony Black.

The A7-30 measures 8.9mm thin, and is lightweight at a similar 269g. The A7-30 has identical features as its smaller sibling with the addition of optional 3G for voice calls. The A7-30 comes in Aqua Blue, Cotton Candy, Pearl White or Ebony Black.

Both tablets are preloaded with Lenovo’s DOit apps including SHAREit for easy file transfers across devices.

The A7 series start an incredible US$79 (RM281).

B50 AIO gets RealSense 3D camera

The B50 is Lenovo’s first AIO with an Intel RealSense 3D camera. The camera features Full HD colour and depth sensor to simulate depth-sensing and vision capabilities of the human eye. With RealSense, you get a new level of interactivity and productivity.

The B50 comes preloaded with Intel Realense experiences including Out of Box Experience, Personify, Wave Warrior and BBB Goal — fun, imaginative uses in video chatting, playing games and manipulating objects in 3D.

The outstanding flagship AIO sports a 23.8-inch frameless Full HD 1920×1080 touchscreen display backed by NVIDIA GeForce graphics, B50 3D camera and immersive Dolby sound and JBL speakers.

A DVD burner is also included as standard. The B50 runs Windows 8.1, up to 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor, WiFi and HDMI in/out connections. The new AIO comes in Ebony or Platinum with a keyboard and mouse.

C Series AIO saves money

The C Series AIO desktops are perfect everyday all-in-one computers, offering 19.5-inch, 21.5-inch and 23-inch Full HD 1920×1080 edge to edge displays.

The affordable AIOs run Windows 8.1 and feature a DVD burner, front-facing speakers, optional next generation NVIDIA GeForce or AMD R5 graphics and WiFi. They pack up to 4th generation Intel Core i5 processors and are available in Glossy White or Jet Black.

That’s not all

If you’re looking for affordable, thin and stylish notebooks, the new 13-in Lenovo U31 and 14-in U41 running Windows 8.1 should appeal. Measuring just 19.5mm thin and weighing less than 1.8kg, the U Series pack up to 5th generation Intel Core i7 processor, optional next generation NVIDIA GeForce graphics, up to 1TB SSHD or 256GB SSD storage and stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theatre.
