[MWC 2014] Sony Goes Super Thin With Xperia Z2 Tablet

Sony goes all thin with the new Xperia Z2 Tablet in attention-grabbing style just like the just launched Xperia Z2 smartphone. The super slim new 10-inch tablet touts some impressive hardware, a new super crisp display and a fantastic evolution to the sexy Tablet Z.

True to its moniker, the Xperia Z2 Tablet looks a lot like a scaled Z2 smartphone and in fact also shares similar underpinnings – the quad-core 2.3Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM and the new Live Color LED display. The Live Color LED display supposedly offers the widest gamut of colours on any mobile device.

The Xperia Z2 is of course dust- and water-resistant (rated to IP55 and IP58 standards) and also includes a huge 6,000mAh, retained from the previous generation Tablet Z.

The Xperia Z2 Tablet will run Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box, and will be available globally from March onwards.

I’m expecting to see this in Jakarta during the Sony regional media event on March 5.
