The Samsung Galaxy Note II is the latest flagship phone of the Galaxy family. This newfangled “phablet” is the upgraded version of its predecessor, the original Galaxy Note. It sports pretty impressive technical specifications and offers a lot of mind boggling features to keep you entertained, anytime, anywhere. The famed S Pen –  digital stylus pen is also included which is ideal if you’re into sketching and quite useful if you feel like writing.

Design and Display

This handset is thin and sleek. Though the back cover is made mostly of plastic, it still looks stunning with its metallic finish along its sides. At dimensions of 80.5 mm x 151.1 mm x 9.4 mm and a weight of 180 g, it is undeniably a bit heavier than the original Galaxy Note. The front panel is dominated by a whopping 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display with generous resolution for an incredible viewing experience.

The Galaxy Note II adopts Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for ultimate protection, keeping your phone flawless and scratch-free. More so, it has a touch of minimalist design featuring a single button underneath the huge screen. Located on top of the unit is the 3.5mm audio jack for your personal music pleasure while at the base lies the microUSB port.

Camera. Photo buffs will surely adore this handset as it features an advanced 8 megapixel digital camera with auto focus to capture life’s best moments. The rear camera is situated at the back of the unit and is accompanied by an LED flash, which provides sufficient light when shooting at dimly-lit environment. Real time chat is also made possible as it is also equipped with a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera. This is quite useful if you’re fond of using Skype or making video calls with your loved ones.

Project Butter. Swiping is made smoother and much faster than ever with the Project Butter. This feature further enhances the overall performance of the unit as it facilitates the smooth movement of the unit’s interface.

Battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note II packs a 3, 100 mAh removable battery, which provides generous energy to power up your phone without having to recharge it every single day. Cons:

  • It isn’t quite handy and portable.
  • It requires two hands to operate.

In a nutshell, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is indeed worth every penny. With its advanced specs, cool features, and long lasting battery, it is certainly a great value for money.
