The latest e-commerce marketplace — www.11street.my has just gone live in Malaysia. The online shopping platform was officially launched at NU Sentral Shopping Centre, witnessed by His Excellency Cho Byungjae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. The event also saw official 11street ambassadors Lee Min Ho, popular South Korean actor; and Emily Chan, a local film actress, make an appearance.
11street was first established in South Korea in 2008, and has grown to become one of the top global e-commerce marketplaces with 400,000 sellers serving over 30 million consumers globally. Aside from its home country South Korea, and now Malaysia, 11street also has strong presence in Turkey and Indonesia, known respectively as n11 and elevenia.
11street offers a wide selection of product categories namely Fashion, Electronics, Groceries, Health & Beauty, Kids & Baby, Leisure & Sports, Home & Living and Books & Services including e-vouchers.
What’s unique about 11street is that it isn’t just marketplace as you know it, but also a platform for education and training programs for sellers. 11street offers training and facilities such as photography to support sellers in their trade regardless of the size of their businesses.
11street hopes to sign up at least 11,000 sellers by end of this year.
As a shopping destination, consumers can expect competitively-priced high quality product from local and credible sellers internationally.
The new marketplace is the first online marketplace in Malaysia to offer a lowest price guarantee under its “Shocking Deals” section. If you find a similar product for a cheaper price in another shopping site, 11street will pay you the difference.
11street in Malaysia is hosted by Celcom Planet Sdn Bhd (“Celcom Planet”), established in November 2014. Celcom Planet is a joint venture between Celcom Axiata Berhad and SK Planet Ltd, a leading Korean e-commerce online marketplace provider.
At the grand launch, 11street also introduced its official ambassadors — Lee Min Ho, South Korean superstar actor from the popular TV series “The Heirs” and Emily Chan, a local actress known for her role as “Mimi” in the film “Kaki Kitar.”
The boisterous crowd cheered and screamed as both celebrities interacted and engaged with the audience and fans. Both signed autographs and gave out prizes to lucky “Meet-and-Greet” contest winners.
