10 best Lenovo products at CES 2015

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Lenovo showed why it’s the #1 PC maker in the world with a strong showing at the recently concluded International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) in Las Vegas. From top-of-the-line notebooks to AIO desktops to mobile phones, there were more than 30 products showcased during the show.

Here are 10 of the best (in my opinion) shown at CES 2015.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

ThinkPad X1 Carbon

The ThinkPad has its origins dating back 22 years and its DNA hasn’t changed. It’s still the representation of rock-solid, cutting edge hardware for the business and enterprise. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is everything a flagship ThinkPad should be — it’s sexy, slim and thin, highly durable and packed with performance.

The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon now packs the latest and greatest 5th generation Intel Core processors (“Broadwell”), ultra high resolution FHD display (up to WQHD) and superfast PCIe solid state drive.

And as you would expect of a ThinkPad, it’s built like a tank, retaining the carbon-forged chassis of the previous ThinkPad and weighs just under 1.3kg. We’re talking military-grade here — extreme conditions with dust, vibration heat, cold, humidity, altitude and the works.

Since it is an ultrabook made for business and enterprise, security is paramount. The X1 Carbon gets a fingerprint reader, vPro and a TPM chip. Also, ThinkEngine, the ThinkPad’s system-management chip monitors the ultrabook’s 33 sensors simultaneously.

But you know what’s the most important? Desirability. And the X1 Carbon has it in truckloads.
