If you’re an Apple fan and looking to buy into the iOS ecosystem but you’re on a budget, this new development might tickle your fancy. Apple Premium Reseller, Switch has announced the availability of a “special edition” iPhone 6 32GB. This follows the price drop of the iPhone SE base model (16GB) announced yesterday.
The 32GB storage option with the iPhone 6 is a new offering, previously only in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. This “special edition” iPhone 6 was first introduced in Taiwan, followed by India.
While the storage has been upped, the internals remain the same. This means the two-year old A8 chip, 4.7-inch Retina Display and 8MP rear camera. It also has Touch ID and comes with iOS 10 out of the box.
The cheaper iPhone SE, however, features stronger, newer internals. As you know, it shares the same underpinnings as the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. It gets a more powerful A9 chip and a 12MP rear camera. The only limitation is the paltry 16GB storage.
Having said that, both are great options for those on a budget. The iPhone SE 16GB goes for MYR1,699 (in four colour options), while the 32GB iPhone 6 (gold only) retails for MYR1,999.
You can grab a unit from the Switch online store. Switch quotes a 3-5 day delivery time.
So, what do you think? Yay or nay?
