Acer unveiled a slew of new Acer Liquid smartphones on Monday this week, including the Liquid Z220, the world’s cheapest Android 5.0 Lollipop-powered smartphone. Playful and stylish, the Acer Liquid Z220 features the Acer Liquid’s award-winning design and textile pattern design.
The uber affordable Liquid Z220 was created with the mass market in mind. It sports a 4-inch WVGA display and supports 3G dual-SIM. Powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 procecssor, it’s mated to 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. There’s also a microSD slot for ready expandability.
This cheap and cheerful device weighs just 120g and comes in at 9.6mm thin.
There’s a 5MP autofocus rear shooter with flash, and a 2MP front camera for selfies.
What’s surprising (and a welcomed one as that) is that the Z220 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop — the world’s cheapest smartphone running Lollipop.
