Korean electronics giant LG Electronics (“LG”) has showcased a comprehensive OLED TV lineup on the opening day of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas which runs from January 7-10, 2014. LG unveiled the world’s largest Ultra HD Curved OLED (model 77EC9800) TV alongside various 55- and 65-inch OLED TV models. Also previewed was the elegant Gallery OLED TV (model 55EA8800) and the eco-friendly Curved OLED TV (model 55EB9600).
LG’s portfolio of 55-, 65- and 77-inch Ultra HD Curved OLED TVs combine LG’s proprietary WRGB OLED technology and 4K Ultra HD screen resolutions (3840 x 2160 pixels).
Its standout product is the 77-inch model (77EC9800), with its sensually curved screen supported by a beautiful leaf-shaped stand. The 77-inch display, which also incorporates LG’s newest Smart TV platform, is a recipient of the highly-prized Best of Innovations at the 2014 CES Innovations Awards.
LG’s Ultra HD Curved OLED TVs are future-proof, designed to be able to encode broadcast signals in both H.264 and HEVC H.265 formats @ 30p/60p.
The elegant Gallery OLED TV (model EA8800) features a Canvas Speaker, a powerful 2.2 channel, 100W forward-facing setup that offers a superb auditory experience unmatched by any other OLED TV. The artistically-inspired TV is honoured with a CES 2014 Innovations Award.
LG’s latest Curved OLED TV (model 55EB9600) is a ultra-efficient, eco-friendly product – made with more recyclable materials and fewer parts than its predecessor. The lightweight and energy conscious display has received a CES 2014 Innovations Award.
LG continues its impressive display at CES, just as it did in 2013, and snapping up more accolades along the way. In anticipation of growing demand for OLED TVs globally, LG is establishing production bases outside of Korea. The Korean company has already completed new TV plants in Brazil, Poland, China and Thailand with an advanced facility in Mexico.
