Carama by Castrol, Malaysia’s first online service for car care recently announced that all Castrol Certified and Listed workshops will provide three months/5,000km warranty and free drop off service for bookings made through www.carama.com. Car owners are also assured of a fair price guarantee. Carama was launched in August this year, with the distinction of being the only car maintenance portal in Malaysia. It currently has a network of over 100 workshops in the Klang Valley.

According to National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC) 2012 annual report, 1,695 complaints were made towards car care service centers and 90% of grievances were pertaining the quality of service rendered. Carama aims to give peace of mind to Malaysian car owners and improve the overall standard of service and maintenance at independent workshops.

Aside from quality of service, the question of cost comes into play. It is not uncommon to have a disparity between the initial quotation and the final bill for repairs. Carama offers a price assurance in order to build customer confidence – pay not a single ringgit more than what is agreed upon in the formal repair estimate. Any additional work will be re-quoted and approved by the customer before commencement of work.

As an added convenience, Carama offers free drop off service within a five km radius.

The Carama portal features a workshop locator, spare parts calculator, my car logbook and Carama Rewards (giving customers 4% cash back on all services and repairs). Carama Certified Shop that have passed through the rigorous “40 point” screening process are featured on the site.

Be amongst the first to experience Carama and get rewarded RM20 by signing up at www.carama.com. Save an additional RM10 when you use promo coe TRUST2013 at time of booking. For latest Carama promos and car care tips, visit www.facebook.com/CaramaCastrol.
