Vivo V9 is now even more affordable

vivo V9

Launched in March this year, vivo’s AI-powered iPhone X clone – the vivo V9 is now even more affordable. The impressive-looking, full screen mid-range entry from vivo debuted at MYR1,399 but is now down to MYR1,099.

Vivo is offering the promotional price as part of its National Day Promotion. The vivo V9 can be purchased at all vivo Concept Stores, authorised dealers and collaboration partners nationwide.

At launch, the vivo V9 was one of the first near-bezel-less, full screen smartphones in the market. In fact, its screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent is still one of the highest in the industry. It rocks a 6.3-inch FHD+ FullView Display (2280×1080) with a 19:9 screen aspect ratio.

Like the iPhone X, the vivo V9 makes do without a fingerprint sensor. It’s a bold move, solely depending on Face Unlock which vivo calls AI Face Access.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip, mated to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It includes microSD support for further expansion.

In terms of optics, the vivo V9 packs a 16MP + 5MP f/2.0 dual-camera setup on the rear and a whopping 24MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.

The cameras have AI-assisted functions that not only improve selfies but also offer Portrait Lighting effects and intelligent shoot modes.

Vivo even has their own Animoji called “Funmoji.”

The device comes with a 3,260mAh battery and runs FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The smartphone is offered in Pearl Black, Gold and Velvet Red.
